'FC Abbeymeads moved smoothly into the semi final stage with a convincing 7-1 win against Highworth Town T.  With the result never in doubt Highworth produced some effective damage limitation and were well organised in defence but offered little threat of their own with their keeper producing a string of fine saves, one point blank stop from O Neill being particularly noteworthy.  After a stuttery opening ten minutes Newman broke the deadlock and Bridger added a second to give Abbeymeads a cushion at half time that in all honesty could have been seven or eight. O Neill added a third with an exquisite lob in a ten minute spell that sealed the match when Will Richardson finished powerfully into the bottom left after a fine pass from Millar.  O Neill completed a fine hat trick with another delightful lob from even further out and Newman bagged his second to complete the scoring.  

And it was great to see Jack on the touchline
